National Hydropower Association – Jeff DiMaio Panelist

Pittsburgh, PA — October 2025 VBASE Oil Company participated in this year’s National Hydropower Association (NHA) Clean Currents Conference, where CEO Jeff DiMaio joined industry leaders for a panel discussion titled “Oils, Greases, and Lubricants — Essential to Effective Operations and Maintenance.”

The session explored how lubricant selection directly impacts hydropower asset reliability, environmental performance, and long-term maintenance strategies. Jeff shared key findings from VBASE’s 18-month Hydro T-EL™ turbine oil field trial at the Porjus Hydropower facility in Sweden, providing real-world data on how VBASE’s Secondary Polyol Ester®-based lubricants perform under demanding conditions.

“Hydropower operators are increasingly looking for ways to align sustainability goals with operational reliability,” said Jeff. “Our Hydro T-EL field results demonstrate that bio-based lubricants can deliver both — performance and environmental responsibility.”
