This will be discussed with particular focus on their thermophysical properties, deposit control behavior, hydrolytic stability, fire resistance performance and environmental sustainability
PRESENTER: Dr. Martin Greaves, Chief Technology Officer, VBASE Oil Company
Martin Greaves is CTO of VBASE Oil Company with more than 30 years of experience in R&D leadership positions in developing synthetic lubricant base oils and formulations for the lubricant industry. He has held positions in the U.K., The Netherlands, United States and more recently in Switzerland.
Martin has published more than 80 technical articles and international conference presentations and is an inventor on over 40 patent applications. He is a British citizen and holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Aston, U.K.
GUEST MODERATOR: Rafe Britton of Lubrication Expert
Rafe Britton is known within the industry for his YouTube channel (Lubrication Explained) and podcast (Lubrication Experts). He works with both oil manufacturers and industrial lubricant end-users to improve their equipment uptime while reducing the cost of their lubrication program.
He is a mechanical engineer with more than a decade of experience on both sides of the industry as an operator and lubricant supplier. Rafe holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Physics from UNSW.
